CED CIRCLES

CED Circles is a yearlong peer mentoring program for new Viterbi freshmen and transfer students.  Participants are matched with a small group, or "CED Circle," led by an upper-class student that serves as a mentor.  Our mentors are juniors and seniors who are eager to help new students successfully transition to Viterbi by sharing their expereincees and helping them to establish their support network of peers, upper-class students, alumni, faculty and CED corporate representatives who will guide them in creating personal, academic and professional goals.

Fun Fact About You:
I once showed up to an event just for pizza, but when I left the event I was president. At the beginning of my sophomore year, my building, Century Apartments was having building government (BG) elections. I didn’t pay attention to the people that were running for positions but my roommate convinced me to come down and vote because she said that the people who went down to vote would get free pizza. When we got there, there were people running for all positions except for president. The building advisor asked the room “Doesn’t anyone want to be president?” On an impulse I stood up and said, “I’ll do it.” I didn’t realize what that entailed at first, but I grew into the position and learned a lot about myself. That year was a lot of fun!
