WORKING WITH MINORS

Faculty whose duties require direct contact and supervision of children or contact with children on a regular basis are considered "mandated reporters" under California law. Similarly, faculty who supervise others who are in contact with minors on a regular basis also are considered mandated reporters. For example, faculty who supervise internships for minors during the summer or academic year most likely are mandated reporters.

If you are a mandated reporter, please read and sign the following form, which acknowledges your duty to report child abuse, and give it to whomever keeps your personnel files.

Faculty who work with minors need to be aware of USC policies on Protecting Minors , Mandated Reporters , and Reporting Wrongdoing.
