Alberto Pimentel Jr, Ed.D 

Professor of Sociology 

Dr. Pimentel is a Professor of Sociology at Los Angeles Harbor College. Previously, he served as a teacher, college counselor, and Director of Admissions and Financial Aid at a STEM high school that catered to students coming from low-income communities. In addition, he served as an academic advisor at University of Nevada, Las Vegas and as a member of the Program Reading Committee for the Coca Cola Scholars Foundation. He earned a doctorate from the USC Rossier School of Education, an MA in Sociology from CSU Dominguez Hills, an MPA in Public Administration from CSU Long Beach, and a BA in Sociology from CSU Los Angeles. He is also a proud product of East Los Angeles College.
