Engineering Projects 2016

First Week: Electrical Engineering

 Team Name: Stripping Wires
First Project (June 20, 2016)

For the first project, our team made series and parallel circuits powering LEDs.

A battery was connected as the power source to switchs and the legs of a simple LED in both projects, although in different configurations leading to the varying circuit types.

Here are a few of our team members with the circuits:

Second Project

Next, we started 3 different projects... at the same time... (So, technically projects number 3, 4, and 5, but I digress). One of the projects is a circuit that basically calculates whether you will get into college or not. Our second project is rock, paper, scissors. Our third project is the vending machine, which calculates the required in quarters, dimes, nickels, and pennies (each a different color LED).

Third Project (Final Project)

~ Medicine Delievery System

Finally, we started on our final project. It was a medical delivery system. We designed this by hooking up an alarm, LEDs, and a clock. The three work together to determine whether it is safe or not through LEDs to deliver medicine to the patient. If there are no risks, the green LED turns on. If there is one risk, the yellow LED turns on. If there are two risks, the red LED turns on. Lastly, if there are three risks, the alarm sounds. Each condition a patient can have is controlled through switches.
