Financial Aid

Financial aid is money that can help you pay for college. There are many different sources of aid depending on your unique situation. There is need-based financial aid that is dependent on your financial situation, family income, and your income. There is also aid that is based on merit, such as academic or sports accomplishments, artistic ability, or demonstration of leadership skills.

The four types of aid are:

  • Grants
  • Work-study
  • Scholarships
  • Loans

Aid can come from the following sources:

  • Federal
  • State
  • Campus-based/institutional (from the college or university)
  • Private (businesses, religious organizations, nonprofit groups, etc.)

In order to receive financial aid, you must complete all required documents and meet all deadlines.
