Week 3

Project: Robotic Assistance

Our task this week was to create 5 robots that help people reach safety in case of an emergency. We had to take shells of robots and program them for our needs.

Robot 1: A vex robot equipped with an arm to clear debris. Programmed with Easy C.

Robot 2: An Arduino Sparkfun robot programmed to sound an alarm and lead people to safety by following a black line.

Robot 3: An iRobot- C programmed robot that searches an area for survivors. When a person presses the button on the robot, it is notified of their presence and returns to home base.

Robot 4: A Scribbler robot programmed with Propeller C Software that will be carried by the iRobot to the survivor. Once with the person, the Scribbler will draw a path from the survivor to the command center to mark their location.

Robot 5: A VEX IQ Robot programmed in Robot C to follow the line left by the Scribbler to deliver releif supplies to previously located survivors.

Whole unit put together: 5 safety robots ready to work in unison.
