Decision Pathways for COVID Symptoms:
Visit this page for Decision Pathways for COVID Symptoms.
As of right now USC requires all students, faculty and staff to isolate for 10 days if they test positive. Some individuals can reduce isolation to 6 days if they meet of the following criteria:
- It has been at least 5 days since Day 0 (date of symptom onset, or if asymptomatic, date of positive test)
- According to the USC instruction sheet under "How to calculate isolation and self-monitoring timeframes .....", (the last section) notes that day 10 of quarantine is calculated by not counting day 0. More info.
- You have no fever for 24 hours (without using fever-reducing medicines).
- Your symptoms are improving.
- You are able to take an Antigen/NAAT/LAMP test on Day Five (5) or later, and the results are negative.
Please visit your student health portal MySHR (https://usc.edu/myshr) today to upload your positive results and schedule your COVID test. (Note: You will be offered an antigen testing appointment for DAY 6 of your isolation period. This is to evaluate whether you may end isolation earlier than the full 10-day isolation period.)
All testing sites are closed on Sundays and USC Observed Holidays.

Note: Instead of “Employee/Child follows home isolation guidance,” you must use the USC COVID Guidelines noted above.
